DOS PASTORAL CONFERENCE:
February 5-8, 2024

Holy Nativity Orthodox Church: Shreveport, LA

DETAILS COMING SOON

Jesus Christ is the truth about God and the truth about man, since He is both God and man. God’s real nature is completely revealed in the Son of God, the Incarnate Word, and the whole truth about man, his worth, value and dignity, are realized and made manifest to man in the Son of Man, Jesus of Nazareth.
-Archbishop Dmitri Royster

Retirement Planning Materials

In light of increased parish contribution requirements for the OCA Pension (beginning January, 2023),and in preparation for a clergy retirement planning workshop during our annual Assembly in July, all parishes and missions are asked to work through the following materials, and submit the included form no later than April 1, 2023.

About these calculators:  The links above will take you to a specially formatted Google Sheet that will calculate various scenarios using the OCA Pension benefit calculation formula and factor in cost of living assumptions. These can only be used by one person at a time, but we have provided four copies of it for use - if one is "in use", then please use a different link or try again later.

About the Diocese of the South

The OCA, Diocese of the South was established in 1979 after years of operating as a missionary diocese, administered under the auspices of our national Church, the Orthodox Church in America (which, itself, received it's autocephaly - or self-rule - from our mother church, in Russia). Founded upon principles of evangelization and outreach by our beloved founding bishop, Archbishop Dmitri Royster, our diocese boasts 80+ parishes and missions as well as multiple monasteries. The territory of the diocese stretches from Florida and Virginia in the east all the way to New Mexico in the west.
